This one social media site gets over a billion web page views every single day. And did you also know that the majority of that traffic comes from the various search engines? Now think about this for just one minute. Someone would go to Google and does a search for, "How To Build A Bird House". Now lets say there's a YouTube video on that very first page that is titled, "Learn To Build A Bird House". More than likely you are going to check out that video to see if it teaches you what you need to know.
Now here is where the targeted visitors portion comes in. The video can be a short little video showing someone building a bird house, and at the end of the video they say, "See The Link Directly Below To Build Your Own Birdhouse". Of course once they click the link or type in the web address in their browser they are taken to a site that is promoting a bird house building book. And because your marketing to them a product they want, this is considered targeted visitors. The chances of these folks buying the manual is much higher than people who saw this site in a traffic exchange.
The Internet is packed with many different social media sites and you should try to use all of them. You can do the same type of thing on FaceBook or Myspace to get the targeted traffic you need. If you want to achieve success and get lots of targeted traffic, social media sites are an easy way to get going. Be sure to include content to these pages, don't simply place one sentence and a hyperlink to your website, that'll be regarded as spam. You also should read their terms to ensure your not violating any of their rules, the last thing you want is to have your internet pages erased, so stick to their rules.
